Love the look of fresh blooms, but hate the whole wither & die aspect of them? Lacking a valentine or have one that drops the ball on the whole flowers bit? Here's a simple craft to make your own blooms that are guaranteed to last. Now, if you miss the sweet fragrance of fresh flowers ~ try this with your favorite dryer sheets!
Supplies:
- Coffee filters
- Pipe Cleaners (I used brown because I had them on hand)
Take one coffee filter fold in half and then continue folding in half four more times.
Round off the edges of the widest end.
Repeat steps 1&2 until you have your desired fullness for the flower.
Open up one coffee filter and begin gathering the other filters inside the open filter.
Wrap pipe cleaner around gathered filters.
Fluff out the filters and you're done!
13 days and counting!

Add a little watercolor (I prefer Colorations liquid watercolors from Discount School Supply). Adding it by eyedropper and just let it flow as the filter will absorb. Then you can make a bouquet with a variety of colors!
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty!
