You'll need:
1 // Tote bag
2 // Fabric Paint
3 // Small Paint Brush
4 // Circle template
5 // Pencil
First, set the tote bag on a hard, flat surface. I used a medium sized tote from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.
Next, center and trace your circle onto the bag - then center and trace your letter in the circle. A template is not needed for the letter, I just freehand drew it onto the bag.
Stick some newspaper or another barrier between the layers of the bag so the paint doesn't seep through and transfer onto the other side.
Squirt some fabric paint inside the circle and spread it around with your paint brush - just make sure not to get any inside the letter area. I used Tulip Slick Dimensional Fabric Paint in Leaf Green.
Let dry for the recommended drying time - mine was 4 hours - and be sure not to wash for up to 72 hours. For a more saturated look, add another coat of paint after the first has dried.
For taking less than 10 minutes and costing less than $10 - this was the perfect project. The tote can be used as a stylish gift bag, reusable shopping bag or an everyday tote.
So what quick and easy projects have you created?
This was a sponsored post. I received the supplies from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores but all ideas and opinions are my own.
I like this project - quick, easy & wearable! Where did you buy your tote?
