Presidentially Inspired - Red, White & Blue Home Design

Happy President's Day! Whether you lean to the left, to the right or are somewhere in the middle there's no debate that there's still something special about living in a country that celebrates democracy and gives a voice to their people.  So, in honor of our 44 presidential men that have served our country (where's the female representation?!) I'm sharing some red, white and blue eye candy thanks to my fave home design photo database, Houzz.

Let's just start off with one of my favorite rooms - this sunroom from the 2006 Southern Living Idea House, which uses multi-hues of blue and red, is absolutely gorgeous and has just the right touch of masculinity to keep the hubs happy and feeling right at home.

I love the use of color and lighting in this living room by Avissa Mojtahedi Architecture & Design.

This family room, by Eschelon Custom Homes, is amazing and they pulled-off the "Americana" theme seamlessly.  I don't know what I love more, the gray-washed plank paneling, the flag, the barn doors or those adorable shutters.

Also following the Americana theme, I love the use of classic Americana combined with a modern twist in these two rooms in an East Hampton Village barn designed by James McAdam Design.

Who says presidential can't be fun?  These red, white and blue kids' rooms prove the classic colors are popular across generations.

Geared towards a more mature, but just as fun, audience these bedrooms combine the classic colors and vibrant patterns beautifully.

These red, white and blue kitchens could inspire a meal fit for a king President.

And these kitchens/eating nooks, which take a more modern approach to the classic blues and reds, are just as beautiful.

And rounding out the red, white and blue inspiration are these beautiful exteriors.

Now that your decor appetites are fully sated, how will you be spending the rest of President's Day?
